KEY FOB LOCKED INSIDE
Key fob locked in your car in Brampton?
If the fob is inside and the doors are locked, describe a vehicle-entry lockout. A fob in your hand that will not work, or a missing fob, needs a different conversation.

MATCH THE SYMPTOM TO THE CALL
Inside, with you, or missing?
- Fob inside the locked car
- Vehicle entry
Say where it is: seat, console, bag or trunk. Give the vehicle’s year, make and model.
- Fob with you, car unresponsive
- Explain the fault first
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for your model. A battery or backup-key issue may need different help.
- Fob cannot be found
- Establish whether it is lost
Check the last place you had it and any spare. Describe it as missing rather than assuming it is inside.
Tell the provider where the fob is.
Explain whether you can see it on a seat or console, believe it is in a bag, or know it is in the trunk. Include the make, model and year; do not assume the vehicle’s keyless-entry features prevent every lockout.
If the car is running, tell the provider and keep clear of traffic. If a child is locked alone inside or anyone is in immediate danger, use 911 instead of waiting for routine car unlock help.
Check options already set up.
A spare fob may let you regain entry without a separate visit. If someone can bring it, arrange a safe meeting place. An already activated manufacturer remote-unlock service may also be an option; check the app or assistance line for your vehicle.
An existing roadside assistance plan may also include lockout help. Confirm eligibility and limitations with the plan provider.
Agree on the result and the price.
Ask whether the quote is for entry only, what would happen if entry does not solve the issue, and whether any different work would need a separate agreement. Fob replacement and programming are separate from a keys-inside entry visit.
For a separately secured trunk, read the trunk-access guide before discussing the scope.
